Clydach Vale Monopoly Boards
Mikaeli and Shelby
We have looked at a selection of board games and we decided what good features they showed. Then we designed our boards on paper. We researched what streets were in Clydach and important buldings. We used PowerPoint as a drawing tool. We created text boxes changing fonts, colours sizes and rotation. Then we found pictures from the internet and some we had previously taken to add to our boards. We then made community chest and Chance cards using the same process. We printed our board games then we laminated them. We enjoyed making the monopoly boards especially researching the pictures. If we had to make the boards again we would add more pictures to our design. We had lots of fun playing with the game too.

We first looked at some monopoly boards and what was on them. We decided to make a monopoly board of Clydach. We designed our boards looking at the streets and buildings in Clydach. We used a map of Clydach to work out the streets. We then used Powerpoint. It allowed us to draw the boxes we needed for the monopoly boards. We made lots of text boxes, inserted pictures and changed the fonts etc. It was great fun. We then printed the board games, backed them on cardboard and laminated them. We playedd the game, it was awesome.

We started by looking at different monopoly boards and noting what we liked. We then made some designs on paper, researching streets and different buildings. Then we used PowerPoint to create our monopoly boards. We had to make lots of text boxes and we had to insert pictures from our folders and the internet. We had to type lots of labels. We printed out the monopoly board and laminated it. We made the cards to play the game also using Powerpoint. We then played the game. It was fun! If I had to make the game again nex time we would pick another place or topic such as Cardiff.
